DOI Link:https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020001

Abstract: Health is the key to a developed country. Health awareness is very important for living a beautiful and normal life. Taking health precautions is essential for the development of the country. In colonial India, the British government gave more importance to the issue of health awareness. The importance of health education is also noteworthy in the present times. At that time, the British government encouraged women to pursue health education. The importance of health education is also noteworthy in the present times. However the main purpose behind conducting this study is to explore the importance of health education during the British colonial period and in the present day, to examine the obstacles faced by women in gaining entrance to medical colleges in colonial Bengal and in the present- day, to investigate the women’s safety in medical colleges during the British era and in the present time. The researcher has used Qualitative method to complete the research paper in question. So in this case the researcher has done historical and content analysis. From the research paper in question, the researcher has reached the conclusion that, the introduction of women into the field of education during the British era and its exceptional present period, many years later, the violence and brutality against female doctors, presents a barbaric picture. In the present day, due to political anarchy and lack of discipline in medical colleges, female students and doctors are repeatedly being raped and murdered. Which can be called a triumph of degradation rather than progress in a modern technological society. Which is the shame of the present society and Bengal.

Bridging Barriers or Deepening Divides? A Critical Analysis of ICT in Inclusive Education

Author: Avishek Khanra

DOI Link:https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020002

Abstract: Information and Communication technology (ICT) has become central to contemporary discourses of Inclusive Education, promoted as a catalyst for equitable learning opportunities. Assistive technologies, online learning platforms and adaptive systems are celebrated for dismantling barriers faced by learners with disabilities, marginalized communities and those in remote regions. Yet this optimistic narrative often obscures structural inequalities, cultural erasures and privatization pressures that ICT may also reinforce. This paper critically interrogates the role of ICT in Inclusive Education through the lens of critical pedagogy and global policy experiences. Using a qualitative critical review methodology, it asks: Does ICT genuinely enable Inclusive Education or does it risk reproducing or deepening existing educational inequalities? The analysis reveals that while ICT can expand accessibility and personalization, its effectiveness is constrained by digital divides, Western-centric designs, weak teacher preparation and corporate interests. The paper concludes that ICT is not inherently inclusive; its emancipatory potential depends on systemic equity measures, cultural responsiveness and participatory implementation.

Author: Chandrani Roy

DOI Link:https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020003

Abstract: This study explores the development of Buddhist monasticism in Bengal during the Pāla Dynasty (750–1179 AD) and its profound influence on the cultural, intellectual, and spiritual landscape of early medieval Bengal. The Pāla rulers’ patronage of Buddhism led to the flourishing of major monastic institutions such as Nalanda, Vikramashila, and Odantapuri, which played a pivotal role in spreading Mahāyāna and Tantric Buddhist teachings to neighboring regions like Tibet, China, and Southeast Asia. This study examines the role of Bengali monastic life in shaping local cultural identities, particularly through architectural design, ritual practices, and intellectual exchange. The research draws on a combination of historical records, archaeological findings, and textual analysis to investigate the lasting impact of Bengal’s Buddhist monastic culture on the broader Buddhist world and its contribution to the region’s cultural heritage.

Coalition Politics in India Since 1989 : A Study of Stability, Compromise and Policy Continuity

Author: Samiul Mondal

DOI Link:https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020004

Abstract: The year 1989 marked a paradigm shift in Indian macro-politics, signalling the transition from the “Congress System” to a prolonged era of multi-party coalition governments. This research paper examines the dual nature of coalition politics in India between 1989 and 2014, evaluating whether this period was defined by chronic instability and policy compromise or by a new form of democratic stability and federal inclusivity. By analysing the tenures of the National Front, United Front, NDA, and UPA, the study highlights how the rise of regional parties and identity-based politics (Mandalization) decentralized power from the Centre to the States. The findings suggest that while coalition governments often faced “policy paralysis” due to the veto power of diverse partners, they simultaneously ensured a remarkable continuity in core economic reforms and foreign policy. Furthermore, the era significantly strengthened Indian federalism by curbing the misuse of Article 356 and fostering a “negotiated” cooperative framework. Ultimately, the paper argues that coalition politics, far from being a mere compromise, reflected India’s socio-cultural pluralism and matured the parliamentary process into a more representative and participatory model.

Transformation of Love from Sensual Passion to Spiritual Union in Abhijnanasakuntalam

Author: Dolon Samui

DOI Link:https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020008

Abstract: This paper examines the transformation of love from sensual passion to spiritual union in Abhijnanasakuntalam by Kalidasa. Drawing upon the framework of classical Sanskrit aesthetics, particularly the theory of śṛṅgāra rasa as articulated in the Natyashastra, the study traces the progression of Dushyanta and Shakuntala’s relationship through stages of union (saṃbhoga), separation (vipralambha), suffering, and recognition. Initially grounded in physical attraction and emotional immediacy, their love is tested by the curse of forgetfulness, which symbolizes the fragility of passion dependent on memory and presence. Through separation and repentance, sensual desire matures into steadfast devotion and spiritual awareness. The analysis further highlights the psychological evolution of the protagonists and the symbolic function of nature in reinforcing thematic ascent. Ultimately, the play elevates romantic love into a metaphor for ethical growth and metaphysical realization.

India’s Democracy shifted into ‘Electoral Dictatorship’:A Study of Critical Analysis

Author: Sudip Mandal

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020014

Abstract: This study mainly discusses all the major challenges that India faces in establishing the status of the world’s strongest-largest democracy in the current century. Equality and freedom are essential elements of any democracy. The Constitution of India recognizes and protects the right to personal liberty as the cornerstone of a democratic edifice. That carefully cherished Indian democratic freedom has waned today. At the same time, in very recently the electoral majority has become extremely dominant factor in Indian democracy. It is a much more exploratory study from a critical point of view. This study has been completed using descriptive analysis method with purely qualitative study. The present researcher has collected primary and secondary information through books, journals, internet, websites, reports of various think tank institutes and other relevant sources. Major findings of this study are that various studies (V-Dem Institute 2020 reports) have shown that in the last few years, the ultimate electoral majority in India’s democracy has turned into an ‘Electoral Autocracy’. In India, the situation has changed since the Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, won two consecutive general elections in May 2019, and Hindutva has taken over society and politics with the rise of nationalists. With the continuous rise of ‘Hindu Nationalism’ in the country, society and politics have been taken over by Ulta Hindu nationalists. Freedom of expression has been curtailed there as well as the freedom of the media and civil society is far from over. Recently, the central government used the UAPA (Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. 2019 as a tool to harass, intimidate and imprison politicalopponents, as well as to silence dissident academics using the UAPA Act. In the 21st century, in the wake of the above-mentioned dramatic changes events, India has faced great challenges in shrinking freedom of expression and declining democracy.

Women’s Participation in West Bengal Politics : A Comparative Analysis of the Left Era andthe Trinamool Congress Era

Author: Zinnat Sultana

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020015

Abstract: This research paper presents a comparative analysis of women’s political participation in West Bengal during two distinct political eras: the Left Front regime (1977–2011) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) administration (2011–present). Historically, the Left Front laid the foundation for women’s mobilization through its cadre-based organizational structure and the implementation of 33% reservation in Panchayats in 1993. However, women’s roles remained largely confined to party discipline and grassroots activism, with limited representation in top-tier decision-making bodies. In contrast, the TMC era, led by Mamata Banerjee, shifted the paradigm toward a ‘charismatic and beneficiary-oriented’ model. By increasing Panchayat reservation to 50% and launching direct-benefit schemes like Lakshmir Bhandar and Kanyashree, the TMC has successfully cultivated a distinct ‘women’s vote bank.’ This period is marked by higher visibility of women in parliamentary politics and greater financial agency. Despite these advancements, both regimes face persistent challenges such as ‘proxy politics’, gendered political violence, and the ‘glass ceiling’ within party hierarchies. The study concludes that while the Left Front provided the structural base for political socialization, the TMC transformed women into a decisive and independent political force in West Bengal.

Author: Dr. Anirban Khatua

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020019

Abstract: Education is not merely a process of acquiring knowledge and technical skills but also a means of developing moral values, ethical awareness, and social responsibility. In recent years, concerns have grown regarding the decline of moral and ethical values in modern educational systems, which often prioritize academic achievement and professional success over character formation. The Indian Knowledge System (IKS), rooted in ancient philosophical and cultural traditions, offers a holistic framework for promoting value-based education. This research article explores the principles of value-based education embedded within the Indian Knowledge System and examines their relevance in contemporary educational contexts. Ancient Indian educational traditions emphasized the development of character, self-discipline, compassion, truthfulness, and respect for nature and society. Through systems such as the Gurukul model, education was designed to nurture intellectual growth alongside moral and spiritual development. The study also discusses how concepts such as dharma, ahimsa, and holistic living can guide modern education in fostering ethical awareness and social harmony. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of integrating traditional wisdom with modern pedagogical practices to cultivate responsible and socially conscious individuals. The article concludes that incorporating the Indian Knowledge System into contemporary education can contribute significantly to promoting value-based learning and building a more ethical and harmonious society.

Rawlsian Justice, Social Inequality and Educational Equity in Contemporary India: ACritical Evaluation

Author: Bisakha Baidya

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020020

Abstract : This article critically evaluates the relevance of John Rawls’s theory of justice in addressing social inequality and educational inequity in contemporary India. Drawing upon Rawls’s principles of equal basic liberties and the difference principle, the study explores how justice as fairness can inform debates on distributive justice within educational institutions. India’s deeply stratified social structure—marked by caste, class, gender, and regional disparities—continues to shape unequal access to quality education and life opportunities. By juxtaposing Rawlsian normative ideals with empirical realities in Indian educational policy, including affirmative action and public welfare initiatives, the article identifies both the strengths and limitations of applying Rawls’s framework in a complex, plural society. While Rawlsian justice provides a strong ethical justification for redistributive reforms and prioritizing the least advantaged, it requires contextual adaptation to address historically entrenched structural inequalities. The article concludes by suggesting integrative policy and theoretical approaches to advance substantive educational equity in India.

The Intersection of Rhetoric and Stylistics in Enhancing the Comprehension of Literature: APhono-Stylistic Study of Pope’s The Rape of the Lock (Canto I and II)

Author: Dr. Masadul Islam

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020021

Abstract: This study foregrounds the remarkable significance of the rhetorical analysis and stylistic dissection, especially the phono-stylistic devices incorporated in the literary writing in the enhancement of the comprehension of a text, focusing on Alexander Pope’s heroical-satirical work The Rape of the Lock (Canto I and II) as the primary text. The paper focused much on the intersection of the rhetoric and stylistic studies for better the understanding of literary texts. Phono-stylistics, as a branch of the linguistics deals with the study of the expressive potency of the sound devices, is used to evaluate how Pope’s deployment of numerous phonological devices like alliteration, assonance, consonance, onomatopoeia, euphony, cacophony and metrical variations supplement to the expression of ironic and the satirical tone of the epic poem. Through the textual analysis of selected lines, the study highlights how the poet’s incorporation of phonological patterns established the poem’s rhetorical elegance which deepens the thematic critique of the eighteenthcentury aristocratic London society with their vanity and superficial frivolity. Shedding light on the classical rhetorical theory with modern stylistic approaches, this work exposes that Alexander Pope’s employment of language in his poetry is not just the ornamental but it is more functionally rhetorical, every sound pattern has the special purpose like reinforcing the satire, amplifying the parody, and enhancing to the aesthetic value of it. The close textual analysis in the paper reveals that rhetorical and other phono-stylistic features are very vital in shaping both the meaning and the reader response, to affirm the central thesis that the rhetoric and stylistic are indispensable tools for the critical appreciation of a literary piece and its artistry. The research findings withhold that the stylistic analysis and rhetorical exploration persuaded readers’ engagement with literary texts to explore intricate layers of meaning, embedded in numerous linguistic forms. The study also presents the pragmatic significance of phonological studies in stylistic criticism and its vital role in the enrichment of literary comprehension.

Author: Debashruti Samanta

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020026

Author: Dr. Puja Karmakar

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020028

The Truth About Me – A Hijra Life Story।

Author: Dr. Mriganka Das

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020031

Abstract : The role of education has expanded far beyond the mere transmission of knowledge to include the holistic development of learners, encompassing emotional intelligence, social awareness, empathy, and ethical reasoning. In this context, narratives—particularly fictional literature—have emerged as powerful pedagogical tools capable of shaping students’ emotional and social competencies. This research article explores the significance of fiction in educational settings, examining how narratives foster emotional intelligence, cultivate empathy, and enhance social understanding. Drawing upon interdisciplinary perspectives from education, psychology, and literary studies, the article argues that fiction serves as a transformative medium that enables learners to engage with complex human experiences. It further analyzes pedagogical strategies for integrating narratives into classrooms and evaluates the challenges and implications of such approaches in contemporary education.

Author: Arfi Anjoon

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020032

Abstract : Women empowerment is essential for achieving social justice, economic growth, and sustainable development. In India, despite constitutional guarantees and policy interventions, women continue to face challenges related to education, economic participation, health, and decision-making. This paper examines the status and determinants of women empowerment in India, with special reference to West Bengal and Murshidabad district. It analyzes empowerment indicators such as literacy, employment, social participation, and the impact of government initiatives including Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Kanyashree Prakalpa. The study is based on secondary data from government reports, research studies, and policy documents. The findings reveal that education, financial inclusion, and social awareness significantly enhance empowerment, while poverty, gender inequality, and early marriage hinder progress. Murshidabad shows improvements due to SHGs and education programs, but challenges remain. The paper suggests strengthening education, skill development, and gender-sensitive policies to ensure inclusive empowerment.

Peasant Movements and Agrarian Resistance in Colonial India

Author: Krishna Kanta Das

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020033

Abstract : Peasant movements and agrarian resistance formed an important dimension of the socio-economic and political history of colonial India. During the British colonial period, the agrarian structure of India underwent significant transformation due to the introduction of new land revenue systems, commercialization of agriculture, and the increasing influence of landlords, moneylenders, and colonial administrators. These developments created severe economic hardships for peasants, leading to widespread protests and organized resistance. Peasant movements were not merely spontaneous uprisings but reflected deeper structural inequalities within the colonial agrarian system. From early revolts such as the Indigo Rebellion and the Deccan Riots to later organized movements like the Tebhaga and Bardoli movements, peasants across different regions challenged exploitative practices and demanded economic justice. These movements played a crucial role in shaping rural political consciousness and contributed to the broader nationalist struggle against colonial rule. This article examines the causes, forms, and consequences of peasant movements in colonial India. It also explores their impact on agrarian reforms, nationalist politics, and rural social transformation.

Author: Mamoni Khamrai

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020035

Abstract :Higher education plays a vital role in promoting social mobility, economic development, and empowerment among marginalized communities. Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in West Bengal have historically faced educational disadvantages due to socio-economic marginalization, geographical isolation, and limited access to educational resources. Although government initiatives and reservation policies have improved enrollment rates, the participation of tribal students in higher education remains comparatively low. This paper examines the status of higher education participation among Scheduled Tribe students in West Bengal, identifies major challenges affecting their access and retention, and explores policy measures and institutional strategies to promote inclusive and equitable higher education opportunities for tribal communities.

Author: Sk. Abdul Hamid

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020036

Author: Amartya Panja & Dr. Chandra Sekhar Halder

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020037

Author: Sumit Kumar

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020038

Hybrid Fuzzy AHP-TOPSIS-Goal Programming Model for Renewable Energy Site Selection under Uncertainty

Author: Satyapal Kumar

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020041

Abstract :

Renewable energy planning has become a crucial component of sustainable develop-ment due to increasing environmental concerns and the depletion of conventional energy resources. Selecting an appropriate renewable energy site involves evaluating multiple conflicting criteria under uncertain and imprecise conditions. Classical decision-making models often fail to capture such vagueness and ambiguity present in expert judgments.

In this paper, a hybrid fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) framework is proposed for renewable energy site selection under uncertainty. The proposed model in-tegrates fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), and fuzzy goal programming to construct a comprehensive decision-support system. Fuzzy AHP is employed to determine the relative importance of decision criteria using linguistic judgments, while fuzzy TOPSIS is used to rank potential renewable energy sites based on their proximity to ideal solutions. Furthermore, fuzzy goal programming is incorporated to optimize the satisfaction level. of multiple decision objectives simultaneously.

The proposed hybrid framework provides a systematic approach for handling uncer-tainty, integrating multiple decision criteria, and improving the robustness of renewable energy planning. A numerical illustration is presented to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the model. The results show that the hybrid fuzzy optimiza tion-MCDM approach provides consistent and reliable decision outcomes, making it a valuable tool for policymakers and planners involved in sustainable energy development.

Author: Bikram Sarkar

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020042

Abstract : E-governance has emerged as a transformative instrument for enhancing administrative efficiency, transparency, and citizen-centric service delivery in rural India. In the context of West Bengal, the integration of digital technologies into governance mechanisms has significantly influenced rural transformation by improving access to public services, strengthening local institutions, and promoting socioeconomic inclusion. This article examines the role of e-governance initiatives in reshaping rural governance structures, focusing on key programs such as digital land records, online grievance redressal systems, and service delivery platforms at the grassroots level. It explores how these initiatives have contributed to reducing bureaucratic delays, minimizing corruption, and fostering participatory governance.

However, the study also highlights persistent challenges, including the digital divide, inadequate infrastructure, low digital literacy, and issues of accessibility among marginalized communities. Institutional constraints and resistance to technological change further impede the effective implementation of egovernance. By adopting an analytical approach, the article evaluates both the opportunities and limitations of e-governance in achieving sustainable rural development in West Bengal. It concludes that while egovernance holds immense potential for rural transformation, addressing structural and technological barriers is essential for ensuring inclusive and equitable development.

Role of Government Educational Schemes in the Empowerment of the Mahali Tribe in India

Author: Dr. Rajdeep Khan

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020043

Abstract : Education is a powerful tool for empowerment, especially for marginalized communities such as tribal groups in India. The Mahali tribe, spread across Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha, has historically faced challenges in accessing quality education due to poverty, socio-cultural practices, and infrastructural gaps. This study examines the role of government educational schemes in empowering the Mahali tribe, using a qualitative approach based on secondary data from policy documents, government reports, and existing research. The findings suggest that schemes such as the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Right to Education Act (RTE), mid-day meal program, scholarships, and residential schools have played a significant role in improving enrollment and reducing dropout rates among Mahali students. These initiatives have provided financial support, nutritional security, and safe learning environments, which encourage regular participation in schooling. Residential schools and hostels, in particular, have helped bridge the gap for children living in remote areas by offering access to education closer to their communities. However, secondary data also reveals limitations. While schemes have improved access, they often fail to address deeper socio-cultural barriers such as language differences, gender bias, and early marriage. Teacher shortages and lack of culturally sensitive pedagogy further restrict the effectiveness of these programs. The digital divide and uneven implementation across regions also limit the reach of government initiatives.Despite these challenges, the study concludes that government schemes have created important opportunities for empowerment by opening pathways to education, skill development, and social inclusion. For the Mahali tribe, these schemes represent more than just access to schooling—they are steps toward breaking cycles of poverty and marginalization. Strengthening infrastructure, expanding scholarships, and promoting culturally relevant teaching can enhance the impact of these schemes, making education a true instrument of empowerment for the Mahali community.

Higher Education Access and Exclusion among Scheduled Tribe Girls in South Dinajpur District of West Bengal

Author: Krishna Haldar

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020044

Abstract : Access to higher education is an important pathway for social mobility and empowerment, yet Scheduled Tribe girls in the South Dinajpur district of West Bengal continue to face serious exclusion from this level of education. The present study focuses on understanding the nature of access to higher education and the multiple factors that contribute to the exclusion of Scheduled Tribe girls from colleges and universities. Using secondary sources such as census reports, government education statistics, policy documents, and existing research studies, the paper examines social, economic, cultural, and institutional barriers affecting their participation in higher education. The study highlights that poverty, early marriage, household responsibilities, lack of nearby higher educational institutions, poor transport facilities, and inadequate financial support are major obstacles. In addition, low parental education, limited awareness about higher education opportunities, language barriers, and gender discrimination within families further reduce the chances of continuation beyond secondary schooling. Institutional challenges such as insufficient hostels for tribal girls, lack of academic guidance, and weak implementation of scholarship schemes also contribute to exclusion. The findings reveal that despite constitutional safeguards and government initiatives aimed at promoting tribal education, the benefits do not reach many Scheduled Tribe girls at the grassroots level. The gap between policy intentions and ground realities remains wide in South Dinajpur district. The study emphasizes the need for targeted interventions such as strengthening local colleges, improving hostel and transport facilities, ensuring timely disbursement of scholarships, and creating awareness among tribal communities about the value of higher education for girls. So, the paper argues that improving access to higher education for Scheduled Tribe girls requires a holistic approach that addresses both socio-cultural barriers and institutional shortcomings. Enhancing higher educational participation among tribal girls is essential not only for individual empowerment but also for inclusive regional development.

The Principal’s Principles: Balancing Management and Stakeholder Demands in Contemporary Schools

Author: Satadru Roy

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020045

Abstract : This article explores the core principles that guide effective school principals in managing educational institutions while addressing the needs and expectations of key stakeholders: students, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, and the broader community. By integrating leadership theory with practical strategies, the research highlights how principals can cultivate sustainable school environments that promote academic success, social development, and organizational harmony.

In the evolving landscape of contemporary education, school principals are required to navigate complex and often competing demands from management bodies, parents, teachers, students, and regulatory authorities. This study explores the concept of “the principal’s principles” as a framework for ethical leadership and effective decision-making in balancing institutional goals with stakeholder expectations. It examines how principals integrate values such as transparency, accountability, empathy, and strategic vision while addressing operational challenges and policy mandates.

Drawing on qualitative insights, leadership models, and case-based observations, the article analyses the tensions between administrative compliance and pedagogical innovation, financial constraints and quality assurance, as well as stakeholder satisfaction and institutional discipline. It further highlights the role of communication, participatory governance, and adaptive leadership in fostering trust and collaboration within the school ecosystem.

The study argues that successful principals are those who move beyond transactional management to transformative leadership, aligning core principles with pragmatic decision-making. By maintaining equilibrium between diverse stakeholder interests, principals not only ensure institutional stability but also create an environment conducive to holistic student development and sustained organizational growth.

Challenges and Opportunities in Computer Education: A Secondary Data-Driven Qualitative Examination of Dakshin Dinajpur, Uttar Dinajpur and Malda

Author: Chameli Sarkar

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020046

Abstract : Computer education has become an essential component of secondary schooling in India, as digital literacy is now considered a key skill for academic success and future employment. This study examines the challenges and opportunities in computer education among secondary-level students in the districts of Dakshin Dinajpur, Uttar Dinajpur and Malda in West Bengal. Using a qualitative approach based on secondary data, the research draws insights from government reports, educational surveys, institutional records, and published studies to understand the current state of computer education in these regions. The findings suggest that while computer education has been formally introduced in the curriculum, its implementation varies widely across districts. Schools in urban areas tend to have better infrastructure, trained teachers, and access to computer laboratories, whereas rural schools often struggle with inadequate facilities, irregular electricity supply, and limited internet connectivity. Socio‑economic factors also play a significant role, as students from economically weaker families depend entirely on school resources and lack access to personal devices. Despite these challenges, opportunities exist in the form of government initiatives, digital literacy programs, and increasing awareness among students and parents about the importance of computer skills. The study highlights the need for targeted interventions to bridge the digital divide among districts. Strengthening infrastructure, providing teacher training, and ensuring equitable access to resources can significantly improve the quality of computer education. By focusing on secondary data and adopting a qualitative lens, this research contributes to understanding regional disparities and offers practical recommendations for policymakers and educators. Ultimately, the study emphasizes that equitable computer education is vital for empowering students and promoting balanced educational development in West Bengal.

Beyond The Ban: Understanding the Awareness And Consequences of Doping in Sports

Author: Dr. Sk Rasid Mahammad

DOI Link: https://doi.org/10.70798/Bijmrd/04020047

Abstract : Doping remains a persistent issue in professional and amateur sports, despite stringent anti-doping regulations. While the implementation of doping bans and policies, such as those set by the World AntiDoping Agency (WADA), aims to protect the integrity of sports, understanding the level of awareness athletes have regarding doping substances, their consequences, and the ethical considerations is crucial. This research article examines the awareness of doping among sports persons, focusing on their knowledge of substances banned in sports, the consequences of using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), and the ethical implications of doping. The study explores the potential gaps in athletes’ knowledge and the effectiveness of current educational efforts in promoting anti-doping awareness. A comprehensive approach to doping prevention is crucial to ensuring the long-term integrity and health of the sports world. While testing and punitive measures are important, they cannot address the underlying causes of doping. Education, support, ethical training, and a collaborative approach are key to creating a sports culture that values clean competition and athlete well-being. By adopting a holistic strategy that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of doping, sports organizations can help foster a new generation of athletes who view success as a result of their talent, hard work, and integrity, rather than the use of performance-enhancing substances.
