Abstract: In the rapidly evolving landscape of education, the role of educators has expanded beyond content delivery to include the strategic design of meaningful learning experiences. Learning design has emerged as a core competency that integrates pedagogy, technology, and learner engagement. This thesis examines the significance of learning design in preparing future educators, emphasizing its role in fostering effective, inclusive, and adaptive teaching practices. It argues that equipping educators with strong learning design skills is essential to meet the diverse needs of learners in a dynamic, technology-driven world.
