ABSTRACT: Women’s education is a cornerstone of social progress, economic development, and democratic empowerment. Despite significant advancements in the modern education system, gender disparities persist across different regions of the world, particularly in developing countries. This paper critically examines the multifaceted challenges faced by women in accessing, participating in, and benefiting from education within the framework of contemporary educational systems. It explores socio-cultural, economic, institutional, technological, and psychological barriers that continue to hinder women’s educational advancement. The study also highlights policy-level gaps and evaluates the role of modern initiatives such as digital education, inclusive policies, and global commitments toward gender equality. Finally, the paper proposes strategic recommendations to overcome these challenges and promote equitable, inclusive, and empowering education for women.
