Abstract: By Touching the form- Juice – Beauty of the objects created by nature with heart feeling , expressing it in an aesthetic form is generally called “ Art”. As art makes people lives Sophisticated, it also directs them to a sense of unearthly Joy. Art takes the form of past, present and future of the country and nation irrespective of place, time and container. Thus art become the universal unit measure of civilization. This discusses how the Sultanate architecture created by combining Hindu-Muslim traditions become “ Muslim Architecture” by searching for the continuing of the culture that the Turks nurtured in the traditions of Baghdad and Persian in India.

Abstract: Women empowerment is a multi-faceted concept that encompasses various dimensions of social, economic, political, and cultural empowerment. It is a process of enabling women to realize their full potential and participate fully in all aspects of life. This article explores the significance of women empowerment, the challenges faced in achieving it, and the strategies that can be employed to promote gender equality and empower women globally. It also examines the impact of empowered women on societal development and the broader implications for achieving sustainable development goals. Considering the vital role of women in upliftment of family and society, women empowerment in all the fronts’ i.e. social, cultural, economic, political, ethical, personal, psychological and situational fronts is indispensable. Thus women empowerment can be considered as one of the way through which desired social change can be witnessed. Desired social change causes development of economy which is the need of the hour.

ENVIRONMENTAL KNOWLEDGE PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS: AN ASSESSMENT

Abstract: The present study has been carried out to know about the level of environmental knowledge among prospective teachers and to find out the difference of environmental knowledge among prospective teachers in respect of gender, residence and stream of study. For this purpose the researcher has used the descriptive survey research design. In this study the population consists of the B. Ed and D. El. Ed college students studying in different colleges (Govt, Govt. Aided and Self Finance) of Paschim Medinipur and Purba Medinipur districts of West Bengal. Out of the population a sample 500 students including male (230) and female (270) were selected by following purposive sampling method for the purpose of the study. To assess the Environmental knowledge of Prospective Teachers, a standardize questionnaire was developed by the researcher with the help of her supervisor that was administered and applied uniformly to different students of above mentioned disciplines. The questionnaire consisted of two parts (i) Demographic Data Sheet, (ii) Knowledge scale of Prospective Teachers about Environment (consists of 50 items). The researcher used both the descriptive statistics and Inferential statistics to analyze the collected data. It has been indicated that environmental knowledge is moderate among the prospective teachers and there is significant difference in the environmental knowledge among prospective teachers in respect of their gender, residence and stream of study.

Attitude of Teachers on ICT: An Empirical Study in Purba Burdwan District of West Bengal

Abstract: An attempt has been to analyse the attitude of teachers towards ICT in education in Purba Burdwan district of West Bengal. The study covered the sample of 100 teachers of schools and colleges of this district. A random sampling technique has been used as sampling criteria. Suitable statistical technique has been used (i.e., t-test) for the analysis of data. A self made structured questionnaire has been used for collection of data. The results indicated that no significant differences in attitude among the teachers exist according to gender, age and computer training although little variations exist of the mean values as per social strata of the respondents. Finally, this study revealed that ICT has predominant impact of education with little variation of attitudes among the teachers with respect to age, gender and training.

Abstract: The Industrial Revolution, spanning from the late 18th to the early 19th century, was a period of profound economic, social, and technological change in Europe. This article explores the transformative effects of the Industrial Revolution on European society, emphasizing shifts in social structures, labor dynamics, urbanization, and economic practices. It provides an analysis of how these changes laid the foundation for modern European civilization. The present study is descriptive in nature. So the researcher has followed the secondary sources of information. This study depended on previously published studies, reports, and statistics. This secondary data was readily available through online journals and library resources. The Industrial Revolution set in motion a series of long-term changes that have profoundly impacted nearly every aspect of human life. Its legacy is visible in the structure of modern economies, the organization of societies, the state of the environment, and the ongoing challenges and opportunities in the contemporary world.

ABSTRACT: The success of students academically and the quality of the relationships between teachers and their students depends on teachers being able to effectively lead diverse classes. The purpose of this research is to better understand how different approaches to classroom management may help teachers meet the academic, social, and cultural demands of their diverse student bodies. In order to increase student involvement and decrease disruptions, it emphasises the need of proactive measures such establishing clear norms and expectations, using culturally relevant teaching approaches, and providing customised education. Strong connections, according to the research, are the result of teachers incorporating students’ cultural identities into their lessons, encouraging mutual respect, and working to eliminate prejudice. This research offers important insights on how to foster inclusive classrooms where diversity is valued and every student has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential by analysing successful strategies for managing the classroom.

ABSTRACT: English as a language is the most common means of communication throughout the glove. It plays a pivotal role in the process of globalization and knowledge explosion. English has been crowned with the terms ‘link language’, ‘global language’, ‘lingua franca’. In India, English is regarded as a second language and a compulsory subject of study up to the secondary level where the objectives of teaching English are to develop the basic four skills-listening, speaking, reading and writing. So importance of learning English as a second language in our education system is worth mentioning. While teaching English though a number of methods, approaches and techniques are used but most of them are traditional, less interesting, ineffective as well as less motivating. So if we keep in mind the needs of the hour, it becomes necessary to use the various tools of Information Communication Technology in teaching English. For teachers, ICT is a professional resource, a mode of classroom delivery and a source of valid and valuable text types. For students, ICT provides opportunities to communicate more effectively and also helps in developing literary skills. ICT helps in making the learners attentive and interactive in classroom.
