Abstract: The most significant characteristic of ‘Philosophy of Bengalees’ is that Bengalee’s philosophy is inherent in their literature. From the era of Charyapada to the contemporary time, the Bengalee maintained this tradition. With our deep observation, we understand that most of the Bengalee novelists, poets are also philosophers. They did not discuss literature and philosophy separately, rather gathered their philosophical thoughts that flourished in their writings. Bibhutibhushan Bandhyopadhyaya was one of them. He was a eminent novelist of contemporary Bengali literature and also followed the tradition of ‘Philosophy of Bengalees’. His literary contribution is undeniable. Additionally, he is regarded as a philosopher. His unique focus on environmental concern is consistently reflected throughout his creative works. In this paper, the researcher has introduced his philosophical thoughts on the ethical standpoint of, and she has tried to answer such questions: a) How did he support non-anthropocentric environmental ethics in his novel Aranyak? b) How did he support the conceptual connection of ecofeminism in his writings? c) Based on his diaries, how did he explain his environmental concern, environmental crisis, world crisis, the crisis of human existence, and so on? The researcher adopts an analytic method, examining his novels and diaries, ultimately revealing how his non-anthropocentric perspective consistently emerges throughout all related discussions.
