Over the last seven decades, India has witnessed remarkable improvements in female literacy, school enrollment, higher education participation, and professional advancement. Yet, persistent challenges\u2014including regional inequalities, gender norms, early marriage, safety concerns, socio-economic barriers, and digital exclusion\u2014continue to obstruct universal educational empowerment for women. This research article provides a comprehensive exploration of women\u2019s education in contemporary India. It traces historical developments, evaluates current trends, analyzes policy frameworks, and identifies socio-cultural factors that shape access and outcomes.
