Libraries are increasingly adopting open source software solutions as an alternative to proprietary systems in an effort to provide better services to its patrons. This research dives into the technique of assessing how libraries have changed as a result of open source software, and how that change has helped communities. With the assistance of a comprehensive literature search focused on library technology trends, best practices, and open-source software. The research on enhancing library services using open source software might cover all the bases from a qualitative standpoint by taking a theme approach to the research design. To sum up, using open-source software is a potent tactic for libraries looking to improve their offerings without sacrificing long- term viability, adaptability, or patron participation. This method equips libraries to meet the evolving requirements of their patrons, protect their patrons\u2019 data, and contribute to the worldwide ecosystem of information exchange and innovation.
