Teacher training institutions (TEIs) have a crucial responsibility in preserving, promoting, and transmitting indigenous languages and cultures to future generations. This study examines the significance of cultural education in India, the challenges faced by TEIs, and strategic interventions necessary to address these issues. Employing a qualitative research design, the study emphasizes integrating traditional knowledge systems and indigenous linguistic heritage into teacher education frameworks.
