Although the movement has often been discussed through the activities of political leaders, students, revolutionary organisations, and economic boycotts, women also played an important role in its development present historical study examines the nature and forms of women\u2019s participation in the movement and explores how their involvement contributed to the spread of nationalist ideas, historical scholarship shows that women\u2019s participation in nationalism needs to be understood beyond formal political activities, as the boundaries between domestic, social and political spaces were often closely connected adopts a historical research method and draws upon both primary and secondary sources.
