The scheme integrates previous initiatives such as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, and Teacher Education Scheme into a single framework covering education from pre-primary to senior secondary levels. It aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education while promoting digital learning, teacher training, and infrastructure development.
