It is also known as renal calculi. It can obstruct urine flow and cause infection, kidney damage, or even kidney failure, and varies in size and location. Human beings have been affected by kidney stones for centuries, which is a silent cause of renal failure. Mental health problems are more common in patients with kidney stones. For example, depression is three\u2013 four times more likely in people living with kidney stones. Patients with kidney stones are much more likely to experience mental health issues. However, this has rarely been addressed by mental health services. Thus, it is time for this to change. People with kidney stone illnesses need to take care of their mental health. Good mental health is vital for people with kidney stones.
